'it's all roses and daisies' (2023)

'it's all roses and daisies' is a three part collage that explores childhood. playing with polly pockets, baby dolls and how growing up as a little girl truly just felt like roses and daises. the roses in your grandmothers garden, the daisies on the football field. the unsettling realisation that you can spend a lifetime trying to replicate that feeling, but it'll never quite be the same. most of the pictures in the collages are taken from my mom's old knitting magazines. I'm sure there's some poetic metaphor in that somewhere.
